Kameleon Solar expands global presence with strategic licensing partnership in India and MENA region

We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a long-term licensing agreement with Nithin Sai Renewables Pvt. Ltd. (NSRPL), a renewable energy leader based in Bangalore, India. The partnership enables NSRPL to manufacture and commercialize Kameleon Solar’s proprietary ColorBlast™ Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) technology across India, the United Arab Emirates, and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Operating under the new regional brand ‘Navgrun – Powered by Kameleon Solar’, the collaboration positions both companies at the forefront of design-integrated solar architecture in rapidly growing markets.

Kevin Verpaalen, CEO of Kameleon Solar, stated:
“This is a strategic expansion of our international reach—not a shift in our local focus. All production for our European clients remains based in the Netherlands. Licensing our ColorBlast™ technology allows us to generate additional income abroad, strengthening our R&D and operations here in Roosendaal. It also adds manufacturing flexibility at a time when demand for our solutions is growing rapidly.”

Chiraag Reddy, Head of Engineering at Kameleon Solar, added:
“The market for architectural solar is evolving fast. Through this partnership, we can extend our impact globally while continuing to serve European architects and developers with the highest-quality solutions.”

The collaboration is backed by NSRPL’s upcoming state-of-the-art, fully automated manufacturing facility near Devanahalli International Airport in Bangalore. The plant will have an initial capacity of 500 MW, with plans to scale up to 2 GW in a second phase. With the ability to produce over 2,000 modules per day, the plant features advanced automation, flexible module sizing, and future-proof design.

Mr. Nithin Sai, Managing Director of NSRPL, commented:
“This partnership is a proud milestone for NSRPL and for India. By producing coloured BIPV products locally, we are setting a new standard for clean energy infrastructure while supporting the Make in India vision.”

Mr. Dharmendra P., Director – Business Development & Strategy at NSRPL, added:
“This agreement was finalized in Roosendaal with a shared long-term vision: to bring advanced, design-forward solar solutions to the fast-growing infrastructure markets of Asia and the Middle East.”

Mr. Ramesh Shivanna, Chief Technology Officer at NSRPL, noted:
“With ColorBlast™, we are bringing something truly new to the Indian solar industry—products that combine high performance with aesthetic integration for modern buildings.”

Guust Verpaalen, Founder and Advisor at Kameleon Solar, concluded:
“This is a Dutch technology success story. We are exporting innovation, not manufacturing. This partnership grows our global presence while reinforcing our foundation here in the Netherlands.”

Kameleon Solar continues to operate at full strength in the Dutch and European markets, where demand for integrated solar façades is rapidly increasing. The partnership with NSRPL supports this momentum by creating a complementary production stream abroad—allowing Kameleon Solar to focus more deeply on domestic innovation and delivery while reaching new global audiences.
