Pioneering the future of solar facades with the OPZuid Circular Multicolour PV Factory

In a special video made by Stimulus Programma Management, our CEO Kevin Verpaalen shares the full story behind one of our most ambitious initiatives yet: the OPZuid Circular Multicolour PV Factory project.

This groundbreaking project, made possible through a €1.4 million subsidy from OPZuid and co-financing from the Dutch government and the province of North Brabant, focuses on scaling the production of circular, colorful, building-integrated solar panels (BIPV). The goal? To accelerate the energy transition, reduce grid congestion, and make the built environment more beautiful and sustainable.

In the video, Kevin explains how we’re:

  • Boosting design freedom through a new digital design tool, allowing architects to customize PV panels in terms of color, shape, and layout while instantly seeing the impact on performance.
  • Creating circular solutions by researching adhesive methods for easy dismantling, reuse, and recycling of PV panels.
  • Ensuring durability and safety by developing new, dedicated quality tests tailored to multicolour solar panels.

This initiative reflects our mission to merge solar technology with high-end architectural aesthetics, resulting in solar facades that don’t just generate clean energy, but also enhance the character and value of the buildings they power.
