What is BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) and why should I consider it for my project?
BIPV integrates solar panels directly into the building materials, making them part of the architecture. This means that BIPV replaces traditional building materials, reducing the amount of material used and thereby lowering the CO2 footprint of your building. It offers both aesthetic and functional benefits, generating clean energy while enhancing the building’s design.
For facades, BIPV can free up valuable roof space for other installations. In the case of historical buildings, it allows you to maintain the protected appearance of the structure while making it more sustainable, blending renewable energy generation with preservation.
