Sunniva was awarded a contract to provide a 28.9 kW PV array for a prestigious Hotel and Residential complex in Stratford City London; Manhattan Loft Gardens. To meet the target PV output, besides the primary location being the bike shelter, a second array location was designated on the South side of the Southern Boundary Wall overlooking the HS1 rail track. Kameleon Solar supplied Sunniva with colored solar panels with its self-developed ColorBlast® technology in order to match the required RAL 7037 color.
Details
The boundary wall was fitted with a Sunfixings façade wall mounting solution specifically for frameless glass/glass PV panels each weighing 80kg and manufactured to a bespoke specification. The glass laminate clamps are top and bottom corner mounted to hold the weighty panels in position, other system rely on anti-slip clamps.
Target color was Dusty Grey RAL 7037 to match the boundary wall paint finish. After submittal of a sample, the ColorBlast® solution was accepted by the architect. Shortly after, 3 Proof of Principle panels were ordered to evaluate the products in real life situation. As the result was approved without comments, the remaining 33 panels were ordered accordingly.
